Is business slow right now?
#1
A couple of days ago, I met with an escort whose rate was $1000. During our conversations, she mentioned that I was her first client in a month and that business has been slow recently. Has anyone else heard similar things from escorts lately?

Slow? Several factors maybe.  Uncomfortable methods of payments such as IE..deposits,  E- Transfer, price hikes which may be out of reach. These of course are directed towards Indys.
I'll venture to guess that agencies are not experiencing slow business.  Why? Simply easier payment methods and more affordable for many.

deposits and etranfer never fully stopped people from going to see SPs. even agencies seem slower these days (ie some popular girls at agencies used to be booked out for same day appointments but you can now book even with short notice). it has to do with the economy in the shitter and people are hoarding cash in case of losing their jobs, not being able to pay their debt/mortgages and whatnot.

Ya, could be but there is a percentage to everything that people will steer away from. The economy isn't doing all that bad. Depends what sector you are in. That's your typical media putting fear out there. People should stop watching the news. Real estate, yes, is iffy but, I believe things will work out.  Rates are slowing going down, inflation is down, grocery stores are ever so busy ( just go to Superstore or Costco ), Stock markets are surging so....The economy isn't bothering me or many others I know. I work in the public sector and I know several long term real estate agents too. Again, yes, condos etc are slowing so, depends what sector you are in.

Its not all fear and doom on a grande scale. Our left winged media here in Canada will do that. I think SP price increases are the issue. On Perb, many have stated that. I stay away from Deposits etc and I'm quite sure I'm not the only one so, again, percentage to everything. I'm sure not everyone is comfortable just giving out there personal info out the random people that could potential come back and bite you. Also, look at PERB review section? Its mainly from all agencies. I don't see too many INDY reviews who advertise on PERB. But, we all have our views on things.

The main reason is definitely economic.

Another reason is that the talent pool is quite weak, I honestly can't see a single girl on Tryst in Vancouver whom I haven't already seen that I would want to see. Im sure plenty of guys feel the same.

The supply and demand isn’t being met

The prices are increasing but the consumption isnt there to validate that.

Individual sps are slowing down and going to agencies because of this but agencies are also not seeing a lot of traffic due to the privacy concerns or just the fact that the pool of choices has already been ran through

I agree on economy , but there’s plenty of escorts I’ve seen in the 500-1500 range that I would not see again for that same range.

I’d view them more as a 200-300 range now, especially considering it’s just as easy to find a sugar baby, but even then in bc there isn’t much of options

I find myself in America more and more for better variety

I've heard this from several women. The excessively high rates definitely don't make things easier. It appears that many escorts are slow to adapt.

finally, what some members and moderators were warning about 6 months ago is here.
only blind would not see it.
by the way, I see some girls in some agencies in BC have lowered their prices by 100 if not 200 and made it "most standard things included"... so, just wait for it: the competition will get worse together with economy going down. And all you can do: get ready, pray and greet the new harsh times.

and yes, mods are here, I just have time to respond to most of the non-substantial things, and I just watch most of the substantial discussions, no interference, until I see some crazy sh.t.

Keep rolling guys.

Canada is already in recession, then add in US tariffs. If you ask AI - during the financial crisis in Greece in 2015, prostitution doubled in numbers and prices dramatically collapsed due to competition. It should be obvious what the next few years brings.
